We all know that the reasonable use of marble in interior design can bring the decoration a sense of elegance. However, when choosing marble, we often encounter a problem: as for the same material, two blocks may have different colors, or even do not look like the same one. In this situation, some people are calm, they think that all that comes from nature is absolutely beautiful; others are distressed, because they worry that it’ll destroy the unity of color in their decoration. But, why does this happen?
Marble Spices Up The Interior Decoration
The main reason is that the compositions of marble are different. Even if the compositions of marble are the same, once the proportion of compositions differs, it will still lead to color differences. Take Violet Golden Marble as an example. For some slabs, Lilac is the main color, while golden is like the leaves that serve as a foil to the flowers; for other slabs, golden plays the main role, while lilac is the supporting actor. The reason for that is lilac-main-color slabs contain more manganese, while golden-main-color slabs have more chromium.

In addition to different compositions of marble, different finishes can lead to different colors too. Use Peacock Green Marble as an example: color of the polished finish surface is darker, like the lush tropical forests; while the leather finish surface, which is similar to the antique surface, is lighter in color and clearer in texture, having a kind of primitive simplicity.

No two pieces of marble are identical, they are unique. Although different compositions and finishes result in different colors of marble, which is the polytrope of marble lies in, it’s the magic of marble at the same time. Marble is the selfless gift that nature brings to us, no artificial stones can compare with.
